It is my opinion that if you are trying to lose weight in the quickest, most efficient way, then bootcamp classes are the way to go. In my bootcamp classes you will get the combined cardio and resistance training you need to lose weight and keep muscle on while staying firm. You will get a different workout every day that will focus on different muscles and/or different energy pathways (aerobic and anaerobic).
If your goal is general fitness and/or to maintain your fitness, then bootcamp is a great way to keep your fitness levels high. The way our workouts are planned and implemented, with the aerobic and anaerobic training and the resistance training, your fitness levels will get to where you want them and much more.
Some of the numerous reasons to do a bootcamp are: camaraderie, cost effectiveness, difference from a typical gym workout, meeting new friends, competitiveness, and accountability from fellow bootcampers.
We have the option of indoor or outdoor classes depending on the weather, BUT just because its cold doesn’t mean we will be inside and vice versa, just because it’s “too hot” doesn’t mean we will be inside either. There will be times you need to toughen up and deal with the weather.
We use a variety of equipment to work out with such as sand bags, Bulgarian Bags, rocks, dumbbells, TRX cables, Bosu balls, heavy ropes, med balls, sledge hammers, shovels, and tires. Basically, anything can and will be used to get you fit!!
Paul T: “Bootcamp itself very much delivers what it promised: high-intensity workouts that result in us having more strength and energy. Its torture at times (the “Beast”, but its amazing and worth it. Being outside (hot or cold) is a fresh approach to the workout. Although you are teaching a “group” class, every time you say push yourself, I think you are talking to me and I push myself even harder”
Stephany J: “I love Bootcamp because of all the supportive people in the Bootcamp classes…You always have someone cheering you along even when you feel like you can’t do it. I don’t EVER get that at a gym.”
Mia M: “I’d never get as much done in 50 minutes at the gym as I do in bootcamp. Plus, it’s more fun to workout with a group of people rather than myself. Especially when you’re surrounded with a great group of very motivating girls/guys”
Lisa Z: “Personally, I like the variety and that I do things I would never do on my own at the gym. Plus, it’s like having a personal trainer to push you without the cost of one of one training. Helps that there are all different skill levels in the group, so no one should feel out of place.”
